"Legacy" Publication
As you read the articles in this, the 4th issue of the “Legacy”
publication it will be meaningful to remember James 5:13…
“is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray.
Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.
Thankfully, our Church has been blessed with a legacy of faith
through the many wars and epidemics over the past 160 years.
At about the same time our Church was founded, Baptist Pastor
Robert Wadsworth Lowry composed the song
“How Can I keep From Singing”.
Phrases in the song are as meaningful today as they were then:
"No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that refuge clinging;
Since Christ is Lord of heaven and earth.
How can I keep from singing."
The song ends with:
"The peace of Christ makes fresh my heart,
A fountain ever springing:
All things are mine since I am His
How can I keep from singing?"
Let’s all keep on singing.
